Dr. Post serves as Medical Director for Training Bible. Fond of saying, "If you don't break it, you don't have to fix it," he helps us manage the medical side of the house. He is an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon and veteran triathlete having competed in his first Ironman in 1982, shortly after it moved to the Big Island. In those days, there was no qualification system, you simply sent in your $75 and an application and Bingo, you're in the Ironman.

He did his undergraduate years at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis followed by seven years in the Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot including a tour in Vietnam. After leaving the Marines, he attended the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Virginia. Training was completed with a Sports Medicine fellowship. For the past twenty years his practice focus has been aimed at the surgical and non-surgical care of knee and shoulder problems so he understands the needs of the triathlete from both sides of the fence.

Dr. Post enjoys teaching other physicians about the needs of the athlete, lectures nationally, and has served as the Course Director of the Primary Care Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Update in Kailua-Kona for the last ten years.

His wife Barbara is also a physician having been listed in America's Best Doctors and they have three children and two dogs.
